The Soy and Tofu festival was very successful this year. For the first time in 7 years, Japantown hosted the festival outside on Post and Buchanan street instead of inside the mall.
The main event was hosted in Peace Plaza, where there were talks and shows being held. There were many vendors with soy-tofu foods and drinks that lined the streets and even gave out themed merch during a raffle.
The event was well managed given the amount of people that showed. The crowd looked happy and the volunteer staff were enthusiastic and helpful to us and the other vendors. We appreciated that they took the time to check in on us, asking us how we were doing and if we felt safe and happy with the crowd.
We are excited for future events that Japantown will host with and will do our best to attend the So hand Tofu Festival again next year!
